Precision Craftsmanship for Innovative Textile Products

Our Wearable Tech and Soft Goods production focuses on creating textile-based components for advanced technology products, like wearable tech.

Our stitching department includes two technologies that provide us with the flexibility to tackle most productions:

  1. Sewing staff using traditional sewing machines for their speed and flexibility to work on numerous products and textiles of different shapes and sizes.
  2. CNC stitching machines that deliver precise, consistent results when stitching flat textiles.

We can handle low and high-volume production runs for most innovative products that incorporate textiles.

Typical volumes we support

Typical ramps: pilot → 500–5,000 → 10,000+
High-volume capability: 1M+ units per customer project (average complexity).

What is CNC (Computer Numerically Controlled) stitching?

We use CNC (Computer Numerically Controlled) stitching machines. This equipment is good for avoiding inconsistency and lack of precision that come with manual stitching. It is particularly adapted for medium/large-size woven fabrics that can be stitched flat with a single needle.

Why we started to do stitching work on wearable tech and soft goods

We often work on products that are quite unique and that include various materials and processes.

More and more ‘smart’ products are developed, and that means electronic parts are assembled with an ever larger variety of other parts — including textile parts that wrap around the body.

In addition, some of our customers develop various accessories that provide value to their target customers, such as mats, bags, and so on.

Why not give that work to specialized suppliers?

That’s usually our first thought — would a specialized supplier do this work better, and for a lower cost, than ourselves?

In many cases, the answer is yes. However, there are cases where we need to work on internalizing manufacturing:

That’s why, for the right projects, doing this work in-house makes a lot of sense, enhances control, and improves efficiency and costs.

Wearable Tech & Soft Goods FAQs

This involves producing textile-based components that integrate with electronics, such as wearable devices, smart textiles, and fabric-based accessories.

Wearable devices, smart garments, fitness accessories, bags, mats, and other textile-based components that may include electronics.

CNC stitching uses computer-controlled machines to deliver precise and repeatable stitching, improving consistency compared to manual sewing.

Outsourcing can work, but for high-quality, low-volume, or IP-sensitive projects, in-house stitching provides better control and efficiency.
Agilian combines skilled sewing staff with CNC stitching machines and structured quality processes to ensure consistent results.
