Need a China-based contract manufacturer that can manage assembly, testing, quality control, and production ramp-up?
Our contract assembly (also known as box build assembly) gives you visibility into production progress, quality findings, and corrective actions during assembly.
We help reduce common production risks such as unclear quality standards, poor visibility, and inconsistent process control. We understand the pain foreign importers can go through with Chinese suppliers.
Typical volumes we support
Typical ramps: pilot → 500–5,000 → 10,000+
High-volume capability: 1M+ units per customer project (average complexity).

How we manage assembly, quality, and production scale:

Our planning system and our process engineering allow for production runs that are ‘high-volume and low-mix’ or ‘low-volume and high-mix’.

We know when to go for a continuous line vs. a cell, and we can troubleshoot issues (defects, scrap …) regarding component productions.

Our inspectors and operators follow checklists and input their findings into a quality IT system, and customers receive these reports immediately.

Our factory includes a clean room, for work on products that have relatively high cleanliness requirements, or when contamination by airborne particles is recognized as a source of quality/safety risk.

We avoid the common pitfalls that are so common in China: lack of standards, structure, and training; paying operators by the piece; unclear decision process, etc…

Issues will come up if your product is really new. R&D designers & engineers often have blind spots. We involve production-focused engineers too, where they bring value.

We have assembled various product types: vaporizers, massage devices, power stations, aftermarket automotive parts, pet products, toy figurines, and many more.

We either keep the critical steps (e.g. flashing the firmware) inside our walls, or we ensure the component supplier doesn’t see the big picture.

Component suppliers and our fabrication & assembly operations comply with relevant regulations. We conduct risk analyses on environmental impact and take steps to reduce it.
More views of production and contract assembly at Agilian
Shigeo Shingo, one of the lean manufacturing pioneers, suggest that process engineers should work on the following objectives: making processes “easier, better, faster, cheaper, in that order of priority.” We very much subscribe to that approach with our box build assembly projects. And, in many cases, a process improvement will yield all four of those benefits at the same time!

All our work impacts quality, so we view it as a system

We have the in-house testing capabilities needed to monitor quality, reliability, & safety

Why you can trust us to safeguard your business interests
Contract assembly, also known as box build assembly, involves assembling components into a finished product, including mechanical assembly, electronics integration, testing, and packaging.
Agilian focuses on transparency, quality control, and structured processes, giving customers visibility and control over production.
Agilian supports pilot builds, production batches of thousands of units, and can scale to over 1 million units depending on the project.
Quality is ensured through structured processes including incoming inspection, in-process checks, testing, and final inspection.
Typical risks include poor visibility, inconsistent quality, and unauthorized subcontracting. These risks are reduced with strong process control and transparency.
Companies ready for mass production, especially those developing complex hardware products, benefit from contract assembly services.
