Our resin drying process uses a desiccant dryer system specifically designed to eliminate excess moisture from resin before it undergoes the molding process to reduce defects.
When using PA12 and other hygroscopic resins, which are highly moisture-absorptive, we provide drying technology to ensure superior results.
Some resins we use for customer parts, such as PA12, are hygroscopic and absorb water, making it challenging to dry them conventionally. Unlike hot air dryers that are less effective in humid environments, our desiccant dryer system can dry the resin within 6 to 8 hours, ensuring it is suitable for injection molding. The desiccant dryer absorbs moisture and reduces the risk of defects that arise from improper resin drying.
Improper drying can lead to a variety of defects in the final product, including bubbles, weak spots, and inconsistent texture. Therefore, drying is a simple yet important step that some plastic suppliers overlook.
